Lavender Whipped Cream
Take 1 heaping tablespoon dried culinary lavender, preferably "Provence" and
crush with mortar and pestle to release flavor and aroma.
Stir in 2 heaping tablespoons of white sugar. Add to 1 cup
heavy whipping cream. Chill for an hour. Strain the lavender.
Add a teaspoon of vanilla. Whip the cream until stiff. Serve
on top of fresh berries, on a fruit pie or with bread pudding. |
